At Hurley House Hotel, we aim for all our guests to enjoy comfortable facilities and are made to feel welcome. We ensure that all guests, employees, and others who use, or assist in the provision of, our services are treated equally and according to their needs.
When making an enquiry or booking, please inform us of any special needs that you may have, and we will do our utmost to accommodate your requirements.
On Arrival at Hurley House Hotel
- Entrance to the property is through double gates
- The car park is flat and has a tarmac surface. It is fully lit at night
- Three clearly marked Disabled Bays are available immediately near the main entrance
- There is ramp access through to the main entrance
- We offer assistance with luggage.
Checking In
- Once inside the building, there is access to reception on ground floor with no steps or ramps
- The reception desk may be too high for guests in a wheelchair. If this is the case, an alternative table is provided
- We do have a hearing loop at reception
Restaurant, Bar and Private Dining/Meeting Rooms
- Our restaurant, bar and private dining/meeting rooms are located on the ground floor with no steps or ramps
- The bar may be too high for guests in a wheelchair, but a waiter service is available
- We have moveable seating throughout the venue
- We offer chairs with and/or without arms
- There is background music in the restaurant, bar, and on the terraces
- Full waiter service is available in all areas
- Corridors on the ground floor are well lit with good colour contrast
- A fully accessible unisex toilet facility is available on the ground floor
- Other non-accessible toilet facilities are available in the lower ground floor
Bedrooms
- 6 Bedrooms are located on the first floor accessible only by stairs
- 4 accessible bedrooms are located on the ground floor
- All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms
- Our bathrooms are varied in their makeup of baths and/or showers
- Handheld showerheads available in all bathrooms
- Feather-free bedding/pillows available
- Corridors have good colour contrast and are well lit
- Bedroom lighting is of different light levels
Garden Pavilion and Terraces
- Our Garden Pavilion is accessible directly from the car park
- Access to the main entrance of the Garden Pavilion is through a slightly sloping ramp
- A fully accessible unisex toilet facility is available in the Graden Pavilion
- The upper terrace is accessible directly from the car park
- The Lower terrace is accessible directly from the main building or from the car park via a ramp
Other Information
- Guide dogs are welcome
- The Reception is manned 24 hours a day
- Room service is available to any guests wishing to have meals in their rooms
- The hotel has no signs or literature in Braille
- In-Room information is available on mobile phones via QR Code as well as in large-print paper form
- The fire alarm is audio only, though we do provide a vibrating pillow on request
- We do provide a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) for guests with special needs and disabilities. Please make sure you inform our staff on arrival of any such requirements
