We are pleased to be reopening Hurley House on Thursday 3rd December 2020.

Our pre-booked dining service will resume, 5 days a week, Wednesday to Sunday, 12:00 to 20:30.

The Hotel will reopen for normal business, 6 days a week, closed on Sundays unless it’s a continuation of an existing stay.

 Our takeaway and home delivery service continues to be fully-operational in the usual way, 5 days a week, Wednesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 20:30. Click here to order.

Dining

We will resume our dining service from Thursday 3rd December 2020 and will be open for pre-booked dining 5 days a week, Wednesday to Sunday – 12:00 to 20:30, one household per table.

Our Restaurant, Bar and Terraces will be closed for walk-in guests until further notice.

In addition to our Japanese menu, we are pleased to be introducing a new comprehensive International menu, to include Hurley House classics, such as Fish & Chips and our popular Angus Beef Cheeseburger, as well as a new section with delicious pasta dishes.

Our famed Sunday Roast is also back and we are offering special dishes for Christmas in our Festive Menus, all available from Thursday 3rd December 2020.

DETAILS

• Seating is in individual zones, inside the house and on our terraces, for safety and additional privacy

• Tables to be booked a minimum of 2 days in advance

• We have 2 menus for you to choose from, and dishes can be combined from either menu:

A Japanese menu, which includes HH special dishes such as: Teriyaki Ribeye Steak, Crispy Fried Squid, Wakatori Grilled Chicken and Roasted Black Cod,
An International menu, which includes Smoked Salmon Blini, Whole Grilled Dover Sole and 72-hour Fermented Sourdough Pizzas

• We will ask you to pre-order your meal 2 days in advance

• The Bar (drinks only service) will remain closed until further notice

• As required by current Government regulations, full contact details of all the guests in the party must be provided at confirmation of booking. These will be kept on record for 21 days, to comply with the “Test & Trace” rules

• NHS QR posters are prominently displayed, for you to scan using your NHS COVID-19 App

• Face coverings MUST be worn in all areas, except when seated at your table

WEDDINGS AND SPECIAL EVENTS

You may not be able to hold an event right now, but you can certainly plan for one. Bookings can be accepted, subject to availability and to government guidelines at the time. Hurley House Hotel is one of the most elegant event venues in Berkshire. Perfectly located within arm’s reach of Maidenhead, Marlow and Henley, surrounded by acres of countryside. OTHER INFORMATION

We have always been highly rated for our cleanliness and attention to detail, but we are working even harder implementing specific COVID-19 related hygiene measures. The look and feel of our house will not be too different from before we closed.

Our main focus is to make sure you feel welcome and at ease, and to achieve this, we have adopted the following measures:

GENERAL

• Our team is adhering to government guidance on social distancing, so please don’t be alarmed if they don’t offer their usual handshake

• We have reduced our team size, and will review this on an ongoing basis

• Guests entering and exiting the main house are guided to use separate doors to keep the contact with other guests to a minimum

• We discourage the use of cash payments when possible. Our card terminals are sanitised before use and bills can be emailed if requested

• We are using state-of-the-art thermal detection cameras for unobtrusive temperature monitoring of guests & staff on arrival. Should your temperature be 38 degrees or above, you will be politely asked not to enter and to leave the property

• Newly installed sanitiser stations are available around the hotel for guests and team members to use

• We have removed our linen hand towels in the public toilets and replaced them with disposable ones

• To help with ventilation, we prop open entrance doors and windows when possible

HOTEL

• We now offer online check-in and check-out, to keep contact with our team to a minimum

• We provide complimentary amenity packs in all bedrooms containing face masks, sanitiser wipes and gel for your comfort and safety

• All non-essential items, including extra pillows, rugs, blankets and mini bar items have been removed from the rooms to minimise risk

• Full use of the terraces and/or dining areas is available for food or for relaxing – Social distancing guidelines must still be respected

• Flexible cancellation policy (Cancel up to 24 hours before your arrival at no fee – a 50% cancellation fee will apply if cancelled within 24 hours of your arrival)

• One-time use menus are provided. These can also be accessed via a QR code

• Guest room compendiums have been removed. They will be emailed to the guest on check-in

EMPLOYEE SAFETY

• Daily safety briefings take place with all team members on each shift

• All team members will be wearing face coverings during their shift

• COVID-19 training for all team members and refresher training take place regularly to discuss all essential hygiene and safety measures

• Team members’ temperature is checked upon their arrival for each shift
