Catering Chef
Hurley House is a privately owned exclusive boutique hotel, that opened in 2016. It is set in a countryside location near Henley-on-Thames, Marlow and Maidenhead. It has won many awards, including the prestigious Condé Nast Johansens Award for Excellence, for “Best Small and Exclusive Property in the UK & Ireland” in 2025, 2021 & 2019. It was also awarded GOLD for “Business Events Venue of the Year” in the Beautiful South Awards in 2026, 2025 & 2024.
We are looking to recruit a full-time Catering Chef to join our Kitchen team. The candidate must live within a 45-minute drive of our venue.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Catering for Events & Private Dining as required
- Covering Breakfast shifts as required
- Maintaining standard of product and service, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction
- Respecting all Health & Safety and hygiene practices and procedures set out by senior management
- Selected administrative duties including ordering, menu planning & recipe costing
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Previous experience at this level in a professional kitchen working with fresh ingredients
- A good understanding of all applicable Health & Safety legislation & experience working with strict Health & Hygiene regimes
- The ability to work under pressure with self-motivation and the ability to motivate others
- Punctuality, reliability and a can do attitude.
Please be aware that whilst only a short distance from Maidenhead, Marlow and Henley, the hotel is located in a rural location; therefore, having your own transportation arrangement is essential.
