RESTAURANT

We offer something different to the area with our Japanese menu, featuring the freshest sushi in Berkshire.
We also offer an international menu, which includes the Hurley House Classics, Cheeseburger and Fish & Chips, as well as a Vegan menu.
Dishes can be combined from either menu.

Dress code

We operate a smart dress-code in our house. Sports trainers, sportswear, flip-flops, baseball caps and shorts are not permitted. This applies during lunch and dinner services in our restaurant and private dining room, and after 18:00 in our bar area.

The dress code does not apply to the terraces, when in season.

OMAKASE SUSHI BAR

Omakase, which translates as “Leave it to me”, is a unique dining ritual, in which your meal is carefully chosen and crafted by the Head Sushi Chef right in front of you.

OMAKASE SUSHI BAR

Omakase dining is an exclusive experience. The Omakase Sushi Bar can seat up to 5 people in one sitting. Guests can be from different parties.

The Experience

Guests can select from two tasting menus, the 12-course Lotus at £125 and the 16-course Dragon at £155 per person. A special drinks menu, with a carefully curated selection of Japanese sakes and whiskies, is also available at the Omakase Bar.

Please note that the Omakase experience is not suitable for vegetarians or persons with food allergies.

Opening times

Open for two evening sittings, at 18:30 and 20:30 on Fridays and Saturdays.

Two additional sittings, on Thursday at 19:00 or Sunday at 13:00, can be made available by prior arrangement.

AFTERNOON TEA

Afternoon Tea at Hurley House is the perfect excuse to meet up with friends, treat the family or celebrate a special occasion.
We offer a Traditional and a Vegetarian Afternoon Tea, as well as our newly launched Japanese Afternoon Tea

AFTERNOON TEA

Indulge in a selection of sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted Cornish cream, delectable cakes, all served with your choice of exquisite teas. Make it extra special with a glass of Ruinart Champagne.

A must try is our Hurley House Japanese Afternoon Tea with a selection of delicious Japanese savoury bites and sweet treats, as well as a variety of Japanese teas including two special additions, Genmaicha and Hojicha, known for their aromatic flavours and health benefits.

Our bar is reserved for diners and hotel residents and serves an extensive range of spirits, in addition to your favourite classics. Honestly delicious – ate every bite.

"We had the Japanese themed afternoon tea at the Hurley House Hotel for my birthday.Everything about it was brilliant. As a big fan of Japan, I was treated to afternoon tea with a twist - instead of sandwiches there was sushi, wagyu croquettes and bao buns. The cakes included white chocolate and sake, mochi and pancakes. The scones had matcha dusting and came with red bean paste. We ended this experience with green tea. Honestly delicious - ate every bite. I hope this experience is here to stay as it's unique and tasty. The waiter who served us was knowledgeable, passionate and helped explain what we were experiencing which added to it all. Thank you!" March 2025

"This is how hotels should be. It was absolutely esquisite. The finishings on the building was amazing and consistent throughout and was echoed by the quality at every angle, from the welcome, to food, to service, you name it.
