The array of teas was simply outstanding and perfectly brewed The tiered stand arrived laden with a delicious assortment of treats that not only looked stunning but tasted heavenly. The scones were the highlight - warm, soft and accompanied by generous servings of clotted cream and fruity jam. The selection of cake from choux pasties shaped as swans, tangy lemon cakes to delicate macarons, the tastes were devine. The sandwiches were a masterclass with delicate assortment of savoury treats, leaving me eager to try the next. Staff were attentive but never intrusive, ensuring teapots were always full and hot and ensuring every detail was perfect I can't wait to return and savour it all again!" October 2024

"We visited HHH last weekend, as a family of 15, after an emotional, final goodbye to the matriarch of our family. We started with drinks outside in the sun; the outside space is utterly glorious. We then came inside for a long and I admit, rather loud lunch. We were a bit giddy with relief and boy did we eat & drink. The wonderful staff (as always) looked after us with 24/7 attention and always with enthusiasm and a smile. The food was outstanding (we had 2 chefs and 1 could-be chef - all impressed). "What a fantastic evening, arriving in the dark to the hotel lit beautifully and a lovely reindeer display to boot was quite enchanting. The bar and dining areas are well laid out, cosy but spacious, creating a lovely atmosphere - with all facilities matching that standard. The service was immaculate from start to finish, with just enough chat and timely interventions throughout. Finally, the food and experience of the Japanese Omakase Bar was exceptional - as good as any Michelin starred establishment. The Chef (and host) was superb, it's quite a talent to talk to strangers all night but also allow them to talk to each other alone. All 16 courses were superb and when you aren't quite sure what you'll be getting that is remarkable. A great mix of different fish, veg and thankfully waygu cooked or prepared beautifully, with some very interesting and always tasty twists. The Omakase Bar isn't the cheapest meal but it is absolute value for money and we will most certainly be returning for the next special occasion. Everything was just perfect from the warm welcome, the brilliant jazz singer Laura and the complimentary treats for Mother’s Day, that were generous and thoughtful extras, that many top 5 star hotels wouldn’t bother doing. The interiors of Hurley House are just lovely, beautifully fitted out, complete with some fab Todd White art on the walls! George was extremely professional and offered the highest level of service throughout. The food was excellent, a great roast and it’s so hard to get good quality beef that’s also cooked to perfection. Starters were scrummy and presentation as you would expect from a Michelin 2 star kitchen. There are few restaurants in the area that tick all the boxes like Hurley House Hotel." March 2023

Room was decent size, bed very comfortable, bathroom had shower and bath and it even had an outside patio where we could have a drink before dinner. Food was limited ( due to refurbishment ) and had to pre order in advance but was very good. Service was impeccable from initial booking through to checking out. Taxi to Heathrow only took 25 minutes. So relaxing prior to long haul flight. Will definitely stay here again whenever flying out from Heathrow." August 2022

A few long dog walks have seen me repeatedly find my way to the the Hurley House Hotel for lunches and drinks, and it’s a habit that seems to be growing. From the front of house girls through to the table service there’s nothing to fault. That I look forward to arriving and saying hello to all the staff and find myself staying far longer than I should is testament to the amazing culture and wonderful people that work here. Then there’s the food, which is to die for. Lunches seem to go from snack to feast with welcome regularity. Married with the guidance of a sommelier who clearly loves her job and there’s not much more one could wish for…until you realise the dog and children have been just as spoilt as you.
Having dined around the World with work, it’s not often I go to places these days with a wow factor, but Hurley House does, and does so on every visit. That it’s so local is the icing on the cake. Well run, managed, clean, friendly, vibrant with great food and superb service…but the staff make this place very special and make it my hidden gem. Highly recommended." December 2021

The portions were generous in size. As a side note, the maid service was fantastic and the room was returned to pristine condition whilst we ate dinner.
