Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter

The promoter of this competition is Hurley House Ltd, Hurley House Hotel, Henley Road, Hurley, Berkshire, SL6 5LH (“Hurley House Hotel”).

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram or Meta.

2. Eligibility

  • Entrants must be aged 18 years or over
  • Entrants must be residents of the United Kingdom
  • Entrants must be officially engaged to marry or intending to marry
  • Employees of Hurley House Hotel, associated suppliers, agencies and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter
  • Only one entry per couple is permitted.

3. Competition Entry

To enter, participants must:

  • Follow Hurley House Hotel on the relevant social media platform
  • Like the competition post
  • Tag their partner in the comments
  • Complete the official entry form provided by Hurley House Hotel.

Incomplete entries will not be considered.

4. Prize

One winning couple will receive:

  • Complimentary venue hire at Hurley House Hotel
  • Use of the agreed wedding event space
  • Wedding date subject to venue availability

The prize does not include:

  • Food or catering packages
  • Drinks packages
  • Accommodation
  • Entertainment
  • Flowers or decorations
  • Photography or videography
  • Registrar fees
  • Wedding attire
  • Transportation
  • Any third-party supplier costs

Any additional services requested by the winning couple will be charged at standard Hurley House Hotel rates.

5. Wedding Date & Availability

  • The wedding must take place within 12 months of the winner being announced unless otherwise agreed by Hurley House Hotel
  • Available dates are subject to venue availability
  • Peak dates, bank holidays and certain premium dates may be excluded at the sole discretion of Hurley House Hotel
  • The winner must select from available dates offered by the venue

6. Guest Numbers

  • The wedding must comply with the venue’s maximum capacities
  • Final guest numbers must be confirmed in accordance with Hurley House Hotel’s standard booking procedures.

7. Winner Selection

  • One winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries
  • The promoter’s decision is final
  • No correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection process.

8. Winner Notification

  • The winner will be contacted using the details provided on the entry form
  • If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days, Hurley House Hotel reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

9. Marketing & Publicity

As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner agrees to:

  • Participate in reasonable promotional activity
  • Allow Hurley House Hotel to photograph and film aspects of the wedding day
  • Grant Hurley House Hotel a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use photographs, videos and testimonials for marketing, advertising, social media, website and promotional purposes.

No additional compensation will be payable for such use.

10. Runner-Up Offer

Any runner-up offer, discount or promotional incentive issued following the competition:

  • Has no cash value
  • Cannot be exchanged or transferred
  • May be subject to booking dates, minimum spends and availability
  • May be withdrawn or amended at any time
  • Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer

11. Non-Transferable Prize

  • The prize is non-transferable
  • The prize cannot be sold, exchanged or redeemed for cash
  • The prize must be used by the winning couple named on the entry.

12. Venue Terms

The winning couple will be required to enter into Hurley House Hotel’s standard wedding booking agreement and comply with all venue policies, licensing requirements and health and safety regulations.

13. Force Majeure

Hurley House Hotel reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition or prize where circumstances arise beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to government restrictions, adverse weather, supplier failures or other unforeseen events.

14. General

Hurley House Hotel reserves the right to:

  • Verify the eligibility of entrants
  • Disqualify any entrant found to be acting fraudulently or in breach of these terms
  • Amend these Terms & Conditions where necessary

Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

15. Data Protection

Personal data supplied as part of this competition will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and Hurley House Hotel’s Privacy Policy.

By entering the competition, participants consent to being contacted regarding the competition and related wedding services offered by Hurley House Hotel.
