Hurley House is a privately owned exclusive boutique hotel, that opened in 2016. It is set in a countryside location near Henley-on-Thames, Marlow and Maidenhead. We are known for our elegant restaurant, with both a Japanese and International menu, Omakase sushi bar and exceptional service. We are also very popular with local corporates for their meetings and events in our 2 private meeting rooms and large events Pavilion space. We can offer exclusive hire of the whole venue for special weddings, private parties and corporate events.

Hurley House has won many awards, including the prestigious Condé Nast Johansen’s Award for Excellence, for “Best Small and Exclusive Property in the UK & Ireland” in 2019 & 2021, and shortlisted for the same award in 2023 as well as the winner of ‘Best Value experience’ for 2024. It was also awarded Gold for “Business Events Venue of the Year” in the Beautiful South Awards in 2024.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Hospitality Sales and Marketing Manager to join our team. The candidate will take on responsibility for sales, advertising, promotion and PR. This hands-on role requires a self-motivated individual with excellent communication, organisation, and negotiation skills. The candidate must live within a 30-minute drive of our venue.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently planning and executing marketing activities to drive revenue for the hotel, restaurant, and events
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to drive business growth
  • Identifying and approaching potential clients to secure new business opportunities
  • Building and maintaining, strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Being highly organised and confident in managing your duties
  • Collaborating with the Digital Marketing Manager and Events Manager to develop B2C and B2B promotional campaigns
  • Preparing and delivering sales presentations to prospective clients
  • Managing and tracking sales and marketing budgets
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, competition and marketing conditions

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in hospitality sales and marketing
  • Excellent articulate communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build influential relationships and deliver results
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office suite

Please be aware that whilst only a short distance from Maidenhead, Marlow and Henley, the hotel is located in a rural location; therefore, having your own transportation arrangement is essential.
