Chef de Partie
Hurley House is a privately owned exclusive boutique hotel, that opened in 2016. It is set in a countryside location near Henley-on-Thames, Marlow and Maidenhead. It has won many awards, including the prestigious Condé Nast Johansens Award for Excellence, for “Best Small and Exclusive Property in the UK & Ireland” in 2019 & 2021, and shortlisted for the same award in 2023, as well as “Best Value Experience in the UK” in 2024. It was also awarded GOLD for “Business Events Venue of the Year” in the Beautiful South Awards in 2024, SILVER winner in 2022 & 2023.
We are looking to recruit a full-time Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen team. The candidate must live within a 30-minute drive of our venue.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Running the larder & pastry section as required
- Maintaining standard of product and service, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction
- Respecting all Health & Safety and hygiene practices and procedures set out by the senior management.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A minimum of NVQ food preparation Level 2 qualification or equivalent
- Previous experience at this level in a professional kitchen working with fresh ingredients
- A good understanding of all applicable Health & Safety legislation & experience working with strict Health & Hygiene regimes
- The ability to work in a team in a busy environment, sometimes under pressure with self-motivation and the ability to motivate others
- Punctuality, reliability and a can do attitude.
Please be aware that whilst only a short distance from Maidenhead, Marlow and Henley, the hotel is located in a rural location; therefore, having your own transportation arrangement is essential.
